Hello

 usual stuff :

first erase some old logs or move them elsewhere to free some space
 adds logs rotation more stronger
adjust the verbosity of your applications
tune tmp used by yours applications
 expand tmpfs

Re: no space left

check other tmpfs folders  like /var/tmp
find services who write and stop them if you could
check with  lsof or fuser command
 examples :
root@voyage:~# lsof  /var/log/daemon.log
COMMAND  PID   USER   FD   TYPE DEVICE SIZE/OFF NODE NAME
syslogd 2941 syslog    4w   REG   0,16    37583 4222 /var/log/daemon.log
root@voyage:~# fuser -m  /var/log/daemon.log
/var/log/daemon.log:  2941

a variant of "no space left"

Henrik Kressner

I run several ALIX with differnet versions of voyage, wery nice.

On one server I have the problem, that the log filesystem runs full wery
fast, in about a month.

A test right now shows:

# df -h
Filesystem                  Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
rootfs                      3.7G  832M  2.7G  24% /
udev                         10M     0   10M   0% /dev
tmpfs                        25M  200K   25M   1% /run
/dev/disk/by-label/ROOT_FS  3.7G  832M  2.7G  24% /
tmpfs                       5.0M     0  5.0M   0% /run/lock
tmpfs                       125M     0  125M   0% /run/shm
tmpfs                       125M   71M   55M  57% /tmp
tmpfs                       125M   71M   55M  57% /var/log
tmpfs                       125M   71M   55M  57% /var/tmp

But when I count the used place, I can only find about 20 Mbyte used.

There must be 55-20 = 35 Mbyte somewhere, i Cant find it.

I tryed ls -al in all directory's, I cant find what it is thats fills my
system.

Any sugestion, other than reboot periodically ?
